"I see by the Papers you make assays from ore for Silver and Gold. I wish to kow the cost ## I have had a grate numver of assays made of ore taken from our mine, in the north west, none of them a g[--]. wish to send you some of the ore" Marginalia by TAE: "Write him he is mistaken ## I make assays only of ores of unknown character, for of charge but not of Silver Gold [----] etc--"
