4-3464. "It has been some time since I heard from you and thought I would write a few lines to let you know I still live. I suppose you know we have been having company [in Canton] since the 29th of December well our last guest left us Thursday and Louise and I have been enjoying a little quiet, it had a bad effect on Louise however as she had a very severe headache Sunday and I like to tell her it is from lack of company in the house. Then we have made a trial of an arrangement by which we take lunch at noon so I do not go home after I leave the house at 8 am until 5 pm and this may have had the bad effect. Today Louise met with some young ladies part of whom are visiting Miss Alexander….. ### Aunt Alice and ouise talked some of making you a visit this week but they finally gave it up for which I suppose you rejoice. How are you anyhow? I have not heard a word from you since Mother came home Xmas and I don't think it sounds for us riot to be more social. Canton is a gay town and business generally is very lively but at present my work is quite slack…. ## Lewis was down and spent Sunday with us. Ira was down Thursday but we were at Cleveland. Father down last week Monday and Tuesday but did not go to the house. ## I hope to hear from you soon… How is the phonograph coming on? Our electric Light Co. are talking of adding an incandescent system give me some Edison points that I may talk the system up with the balance of stock holders. We have a strong Co. and a good one so I want them to have the best system. Give my love and regards to all with love from Louise…
