Your favor of the 18th ult has just come to hand this A. M. I had already early this morning cabled you that I had handed to Foster Thomson & Co the Europoean Telephone agreement referred to as you will see from cables confirmed elsewhere.##At the same time I requested you to send me a copy of the Agreement dated 10th [November]. This is the agreement previously signed by myself and the Edison Electric Telephone Co of Europe & which was sent to John [Haskwell & Co. I am sorry there has been so much delay about this but it was only late on Saturday afternoon that I managed to get the Bankers signature.##Immediately the above referred to copy of agreement of [16th] [illegible] a meeting of the Board of the Edison Telephone Coy of Europe will be called & I hope then to clear up the whole matter including the question of the [--- ---] you.##You [illegible] Insull has been giving his attention to the matter and it was not until last Sunday (the day before yesterday) that he was able to reach Mr Barker.
