Title
[LB012215], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Societe Electrique Edison, May 1st, 1882
Editor's Notes
Again referring to your letter of 11th April I have [---] further inquiries into the matter of how [plants] are marked and find that so far as the Dynamos are concerned I find that each [bar] bears the number of the dynamo to which it belongs & that the P.o.d. containing the Armature has the additional mark of "A" or "B" according to whether the machine is for A lamps (16 candles) or B lamps (8 candles). As the "Z" dynamo is packed in four separate boxes and as each of these boxes [also] bears the same number there should be no difficulty so far as the machines are concerned As to the remaining items that go to make up a plant I will see that the packages are [marked] in such a manner as to enable you to recognize them
