- Your letter of the 15th ult has been received.##I have no recollection of writing the letter referred to by you stating that I did not consider myself the inventor of the electro depositing cell meter broadly. It has entirely slipped from my mind. However I would consider that statement followed by a suggestion of various grounds of invention more as a criticism of the[escape] of the claim you made or proposed to make, than a [relinguishment] of all features of invention, and I do not see what [advancement] it would furnish for leaving out all claims (however [-----ted]) on the meter in English Patent no. 4226 of 1878. Kindly furnish me with a copy of my letter of march 5th referred by you
