- I inclose [tracings] of drawings and the complete specification for English patent on the invention of steam and [Byllesby]. The U.S. patent will be issued May 16th 82, and I have sent papers to D. H. Brandon Esq. 1 Rue Laffitle, Paris, with instructions to file them on or before the 16th. The complete specification is a copy of the U.S. specification prepared by Mr Serrell of this City, with the exception of the claims which are my own.##We are now managing our office Menlo park, and I have not been able to prepare the provisional specification.##Mr Edison is interested in this matter and is paying the expenses, so that you can treat the case as one of his own.##My address hereafter will be Menlo Park N. J. USA.
