- I find the cause of crossing on one of the machines was due to the shrinkage of the fibre ends below the iron cylinder when the wire came down on the iron & burned through although the edge was rounded. You should have at least one thickness of parchment paper & two if possible put over the surface of the edge & lap over under the fibre ends Thus##[art]##You should have an inspector on those winders upstairs as I find nearly every armature is a little different [everywhere]##Dont [bore] out but a few fields for the 250 light for when we use the bars the space required will be much less than for the wire
