- Editor's Notes
- "The Phonograph Works having received instructions from Mr. Lippincott to take up the matter of making a cylinder on a hollow wooden base, they have asked me to make the necessary experiments to show whether it will improve our present cylinders. ### I presume that this is the process that was spoken of by you in your letter to Mr. English of September 13th. Before commencing I would like to ask you for a little more explicit description of the process, as I do not quite understand how you want them made. ### Any instructions that you can give me on the subject, I shall very gladly receive, and the best of my ability will be devoted to get a satisfactory result." Very truly yours, Chas. Batchelor.
