Title

[LB032384], Letter from West Orange Laboratory to Queen (James W.) & Co, September 23rd, 1889

Editor's Notes

"Your letter of 18th instant has been duly received and contents noted. ### In reply we would state that the cost of altering Kits for photographic apparatus recently purchased from you, was not included in our claim against you for repairs. ### The goods after being unpacked were placed in a room of normal temperature. It seems to us that the defects complained of were caused by careless workmanship. For example, the leather tongue or handle sunk into the wood work of the cover of the plate holder to such an extent as to crack it from one end to the other, causing an opening of an eight of an inch. This is our opinion of what caused the wood to crack. This occurred to all the holders. The top of the table was also cracked in several places but for this we have made no charge!" Yours truly, Edison Laboratory
