- A Strand of 7 bare soft Copper wires #16 BWG was stretched obn stone floor:##by its side & parallel with it there were stretched 7 single bare wires of the same guage, joined at both ends by pieces of bare copper wire. All wires were strightened by one equal force, applied at one end, and produced by heave weights hanging on a wire passing over two pulleys.##A thin bare copper wire was fastened at both ends of the wires, to which were connected the wires leading to Galvenometer. A current of 20 [unknown symbol] was passed throuh the wires, the C taken @ ohms, the resistances measured @ Diff Galvanomterr [drawing follows and next page continues details on wires followed by results]
